Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass, a long‑standing leader in collision repair, seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver high‑quality repairs and an exceptional customer experience. You will diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, using cutting guns, plasma cutters, and welding tools to restore cars to pre‑accident condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of auto body repair methods and tool usage.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and operate in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and replace damaged sections with parts.
• Weld, attach, and repaint vehicles as required.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor guidelines and inspect finished work.
