Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician in the United States to deliver exceptional customer experiences by accurately assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles and uphold our speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

You will follow the WOW operating plan, prepare estimates, and work with a team of repairers to meet KPIs while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new/aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; prep and repaint with factory paint or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
