Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States seeks an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with meticulous repairs and attention to detail. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles and work with the team to meet KPIs and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsabilidades

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using various tools.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins to repair dents when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as required.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
