Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence while collaborating with the team to meet KPIs.

The role emphasizes brand ambassadorship within The Boyd Group. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent or a 3-year apprenticeship, and hands-on skills with body repair tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year auto body apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in a shop.
• Thorough understanding of repairing vehicle bodies and using trade tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
