Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician in the United States to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassemble, reassemble, and ensure quality and speed in service delivery. You will work with the team to meet KPIs and act as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a path through technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship. Expect a fast-paced shop environment with safety and customer excellence at the core.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and attach or fit parts; repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
