Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Minnesota is seeking an experienced auto body technician to join our team. You will plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, and repair vehicle bodies using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.

High school diploma or equivalent plus a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship is required. Benefits and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 are offered to experienced technicians, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of tools used in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle bodies using cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks and hand tools.
• Realign chassis and frames to restore structural integrity.
• Replace damaged sections and windows/glas s as needed.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint to factory specifications.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor guidelines and inspect completed work.
