Job summary

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.

You will use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors, with training provided and opportunities to grow.

This role requires patience, compassion, and physical stamina, as you may stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and move between activities.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age; High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification and TB test (within last year).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to support each child’s progress.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, supportive environment for clients and staff.
