Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism, guided by a BCBA. Training is provided to equip you with evidence-based techniques for teaching communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

The role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. You will be standing, walking, and lifting at times, with focus on the child’s safety and progress.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• CPR/First Aid certification and TB test within last year
• Pass pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Complete comprehensive training provided by Centria to empower you to help each child.
• This role involves physical activity and adaptability to ensure client safety and progress.
