Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under the guidance of a BCBA.

You will learn evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills, while reducing challenging behaviors. Training is provided, and you should be patient, compassionate, and capable of collaborating in a team to help every child reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a preemployment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Work one-on-one with children to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors.
