Job summary

Centria Healthcare is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized behavior plans and use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

No prior experience is required as training is provided. Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and capable of working in a team; you must be able to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, kneel, bend).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Ensure safety and assist with mobility as needed.
• Document progress and collaborate with the team.
