Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum, implementing personalized intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will apply evidence-based techniques to teach essential skills and reduce challenging behaviors, while staying patient, compassionate, and collaborative with the team.

Training is provided; experience isn’t required. The role involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Collaborate under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Ensure safety and comfort while interacting with children in various settings.
