Job summary

Centria Healthcare seeks enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training; no prior experience required. You must be able to stand, walk, lift, and move with children who weigh up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and monitor progress with families.
