Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, applying evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills. The role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork.

Training is provided, and candidates without experience are welcome. You should be able to stand, walk, lift and assist children who may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year).
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors under BCBA supervision.
• Collaborate with the team and participate in ongoing training.
