Job summary

CentrIa Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under a BCBA’s guidance. You will implement individualized behavior plans, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques while reducing interfering behaviors.

We value patience, compassion, and teamwork. Training is provided; role involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Passionate about helping children with autism

Responsibilities

• One-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors
• Collaborate effectively within a team and participate in comprehensive training
• Assist children who move and interact physically, maintaining safety and support
