Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy in Tucson seeks a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver ABA therapy to children on the autism spectrum in a 1:1 setting under BCBA supervision.

The role requires RBT certification (or completion of a 40-hour course and competency exam within 45 days), reliable transportation, and a commitment to safety and data collection. Pay is $18–$24 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold RBT certification or complete 40 hour training and sit for competency exam within 45 days of employment.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs and moving quickly for safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow treatment plans created by BCBA/BC and collect data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with treatment protocols.
• Maintain documentation and communicate progress to families as instructed by supervisors.
• Prepare client materials and assist with assessments as needed.
