Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Manager for Power & Energy in St. Louis, MO. This role can be offered remotely within the United States.

You will lead complex projects, provide high-level technical leadership, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with clients, staff, and subcontractors to ensure safe, profitable execution. Ideal candidate has PMP/CAP‑M and 10+ years in project management within energy/infrastructure sectors, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related major.
• Essential project management certification required (e.g., PMP, CAP‑M).
• 10+ years of relevant post‑education experience in a project management role within the industry.
• Experience supporting utility, energy, transportation, or large capital infrastructure programs.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with business acumen.
• Ability to travel occasionally depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-functional teams of technical professionals and SMEs to execute project work with budgets, hours, expenses, deliverables, and contractual obligations.
• Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
• Develop WBS tasks and estimated costs.
• Drive technical reviews and QA/QC adherence with qualified staff.
• Maintain records of reviews and correspondence related to the project.
• Mentor project team members for growth and development.
• Perform margin analyses and establish risk contingencies.
• Participate in contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as PMP, QP, PSP, and Communications Plan.
