Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support planning, execution, and delivery of physical security technology projects. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-scope, and within-budget completion, with 25%+ travel expected.

You will assist in developing plans, timelines, and deliverables, monitor progress, and maintain documentation. The role emphasizes collaboration with security tech, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field; or 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• 1+ years of project management or related role experience, preferably in tech or security.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and PM scheduling/budget management is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work collaboratively.
• Proficient in PM software (Smartsheets, Jira, Asana, Salesforce).
• Basic understanding of physical security technologies (Axis, Genetec, Mercury, etc.).
• Security platform certifications are a plus (Genetec, Axis, Software House, OpenPath).
• Familiarity with physical security systems (video surveillance, access control, door hardware, intrusion, intercom).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Support managers in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate communication between project teams and local business operation leaders.
• Conduct risk assessments and contribute to mitigation strategies.
• Prepare project documentation: reports, meeting notes, presentations.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving.
• Maintain project management tools and track milestones/deliverables.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure secure implementation of solutions.
