Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Associate Project Manager for the Global Safety and Security team to support planning, execution, and delivery of physical security technology projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep projects on time, within scope, and within budget, with 25%+ travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, in a related field or an additional 4 years of work experience in quantitative or business fields.
• 1+ years of experience in project management or a related role, preferably in the technology or security industry.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Project Schedule Management via Ghhant Chart, Budget management, Cost Performance management) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheets, Jira, Asana, Salesforce).
• Basic understanding of physical security technologies are required (e.g. Axis, Genetec, Mercury, Aiphone, Von Duprin, HID).
• Security Platform Certifications are a plus. (e.g. Genetec, Axis, Software House, OpenPath)
• Familiarity with physical security technology systems (e.g., video surveillance, electronic access control, electronic door hardware, intrusion detection, intercom)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordinating project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Support project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate communication between project teams and local business operation leaders, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
• Conduct project risk assessments and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, meeting notes, and presentations.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Maintain project management tools and systems to track project milestones and deliverables.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions.
