Job summary

Leidos in New Hampshire (NH) is seeking an Associate Distribution Engineer to support electric distribution design and field investigations in OH, UG, or URD environments. The role will involve creating construction work packages and performing engineering calculations using CAD, GIS, and Bentley Open Utilities Design, with travel to project sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Engineering, MS Office proficiency, and strong communication skills; willingness to work both field

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field; six+ months of relevant utility design experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to perform both field and office work.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software and standards (OH/UG/URD).
• Perform engineering calculations (pole structural analysis, guying, cable pulling, transformer sizing, voltage drop, flicker, protective devices).
• Prepare forestry trimming requests and Right-of-Way acquisition; develop BOM and estimate costs.
• Travel to project locations to conduct field investigations.
