Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Associate Distribution Engineer to support electric distribution design in our Framingham, MA office or the New Hampshire area.

You will develop construction work packages for OH/UG/URD systems, perform engineering calculations and support field investigations, with travel as needed. This role offers exposure to GIS, CAD, and open utilities design tools, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field with six months+ of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Willingness to perform both field and office work

Responsibilities

• Develop construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards.
• Project work may include new business and reliability designs in OH, UG, or URD environments.
• Perform engineering calculations including pole structure analysis, guying, cable pulling, transformer sizing, voltage drop, and coordination of protective devices.
• Prepare forestry trimming requests, facilitate Right-of-Way acquisition, develop BOM, estimate costs, and advocate for easements.
• Travel by motor vehicle to project locations to conduct field investigations
