Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Associate Distribution Engineer/Designer to develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems serving utility clients. You will review client scopes, perform structural and electrical calculations, and support construction to ensure standards are met.

Bachelor's degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Industrial) with 0+ years experience is required. Proficiency in NESC, ESRI, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, plus MS Office, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial disciplines with 0+ years experience.
• Experience with NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation; GIS background is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems.
• Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations (pole loading, guying, sag/tension, voltage drop, flicker).
• Provide engineering support during construction and post-construction reviews.
