Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Associate Distribution Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of electric distribution projects in the Framingham, MA area or New Hampshire. The role involves a mix of field and office work, with exposure to NESC standards and GIS/CAD tools.

Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree, 6+ months of electrical utility experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 6+ months of utility design experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Willingness to perform both field and office work.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction work packages for the electric distribution system using CAD, GIS, and WMS.
• Perform engineering calculations including pole structural analysis, voltage drop, transformer sizing.
• Prepare forestry trimming requests and facilitate Right-of-Way acquisitions.
• Develop BOM and cost estimates; advocate for customers to secure easements.
• Travel to project locations for field investigations across the area.
