Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director of Project Management in Detroit to lead a PM team on infrastructure programs, manage client relationships, and drive new revenue through proposals and renewals.

The role requires deep construction industry experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including municipal authorities. On-site presence is expected to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a project management role within construction.
• Experience managing client accounts effectively and leading project teams.
• Strong knowledge of the local construction market and lifecycle of large projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Project Management in managing client relationships and drive revenue growth through new work and renewals.
• Lead bid teams and coordinate proposal generation with senior management and business development.
• Attend client interviews and present service offerings.
• Provide line management, coaching, and mentoring to project staff for career growth.
• Provide weekly project status updates and flag issues or conflicts as needed.
• Oversee financials, invoicing, and ensure timely payments; monitor margins and forecasts.
