Jobot, a Texas-based litigation firm with a strong focus on construction and construction defect matters, is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team in a hybrid role. The position offers a high salary range and professional growth in a collaborative environment.

You will represent clients from inception through trial, draft pleadings, conduct complex research, mentor junior attorneys, and work closely with experts and consultants. Texas Bar and 2+ years of litigation required.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience; construction experience preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating in a team.
• Strong client-service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in construction and construction defect claims, managing cases from inception through trial or settlement
• Provide risk management advice and strategic legal guidance throughout construction projects
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis on construction and construction defect matters
• Collaborate with experts, consultants, and other professionals to develop strong case strategies
• Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings
• Mentor and support junior attorneys in research, case preparation, and trial strategy

Salary: $115,000 - $160,000 per year

• Two remote workdays each week, except for Fridays.
• Monthly lunch group and happy hour events. Quarterly firm lunches to relax and bond with colleagues.
• All associates and staff are paid twice a month on the 15th and last day of the month by direct deposit.
• Entitled to participate in our firm Bonus Program for Associates. Bonuses are awarded four times a year, with amounts based on hours worked during the previous 3-month period.
• Firm pays all bar dues and occupation tax for attorneys.
• Firm pays for 15 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) per year.
• After 30 days with the firm, you will be eligible to participate in our 401K retirement/investment plan, with a 100% match for contributions up to 3% of salary and 50% match for contributions between 3-5%.

• Active membership in the Texas Bar, in good standing
• 2+ years of litigation experience; prior construction or construction defect litigation experience strongly preferred
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team
• Strong client-service orientation and interpersonal skills
