Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Los Angeles office and support a growing caseload of construction and commercial disputes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active membership with the California State Bar.
• 2-10 years of civil litigation or other relevant legal experience.
• Construction litigation experience preferred.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage assignments and multiple deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong professional judgment and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements
• Propound and respond to written discovery and manage document production
• Conduct and defend depositions and attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Analyze construction contracts, project records, payment disputes, delay claims, and change orders
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, consultants, and court personnel
• Assist with case strategy, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations
• Manage court deadlines, filing requirements, and multiple active matters
