Permanent Associate Attorney - Construction Litigation

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Associate Attorney specializing in Construction Litigation to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of construction litigation cases, ranging from initial client consultation to settlement or trial. This position presents a unique opportunity to work on high-stakes, complex construction disputes, providing invaluable support to our clients. Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse case load of construction litigation matters, ensuring all deadlines are met and clients are updated regularly.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case progression and strategy development.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to develop effective defense strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in construction law and insurance defense, applying this knowledge to your work.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state, with a clean disciplinary record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction litigation, with a strong emphasis on Insurance Defense.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for our clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and case management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ethical judgment and the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
