Job summary

Lument is seeking an Associate to support origination, screening, structuring, underwriting, and execution of affordable multifamily financing opportunities in its Housing platform. The role involves financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction support through closing.

The candidate should have strong quantitative skills and knowledge of real estate finance, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. CA market experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in affordable housing finance or related areas.
• Experience with LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, or similar financing preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ability to build and reconcile financial models.

Responsibilities

• Support origination, evaluation, structuring, and execution of multifamily financing opportunities.
• Prepare analyses of property operations, development costs, sources and uses, and debt metrics.
• Develop and reconcile financial models for construction and permanent financing.
• Assist in preparing term sheets, credit materials, and investor presentations.
• Coordinate transaction execution with clients, lenders, and legal teams.
