Job summary

Lincoln Avenue Communities seeks a Development Associate to help expand access to affordable housing nationwide. You will work on LIHTC transactions, underwriting, deal structuring, and portfolio transitions, gaining exposure across the full lifecycle.

You’ll collaborate with Originations, Asset Management, Construction, Legal, Finance, and senior leadership to drive successful outcomes. Hybrid role based in Santa Monica, with in-office presence four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, development, or related field.
• 2+ years of affordable housing development experience, LIHTC transactions knowledge.
• Background in real estate investment banking, private equity, or real estate development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in advancing LIHTC and affordable housing transactions from concept to closing.
• Collaborate with Originations, Asset Management, Construction, Legal, Finance, and senior leadership.
• Support deal lifecycle, market analysis, and financing structuring.
• Assist with capital structuring including LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, FHA/Agency debt.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to training within the team.
