Job summary

Newmark seeks a Senior Underwriter to structure and underwrite complex affordable multifamily transactions from application through credit approval. You will partner with origination and closing teams, our Senior Credit team, and agency investors to deliver certainty of execution on LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, and preservation deals.

You will analyze rents, operating statements, LURAs, and regulatory agreements to determine sizing, DSCR, and debt yield constraints, and prepare loan packages for

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyze complex affordable multifamily transactions.
• Strong underwriting experience with agency guidelines (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac).
• Proficient in Excel modeling and presenting loan packages.
