Job summary

ORIX USA Group in Irvine, CA is seeking an Associate to support origination, underwriting, and execution of affordable multifamily financing within a high‑performing platform. You will model cash flows, assess debt capacity, and contribute to proposals and closing activities in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s in business/finance/real estate and 3–5 years in affordable housing finance, LIHTC, or tax‑exempt bonds, with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, real estate, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant affordable housing finance or related experience.
• Experience with LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, or structured real estate financing preferred.
• Experience with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or FHA multifamily loan programs preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for construction and permanent financing.
• Analyze property cash flows, budgets, and credit metrics for transactions.
• Prepare financing proposals, term sheets, and closing materials.
• Review bond/loan documents for consistency with terms and models.
• Coordinate with clients, lenders, and internal teams through closing.
