Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring guest service, staff management, and execution of sales strategies. This role is vital in driving the store's success while maintaining a positive experience for Guests and associates.

As a Floor Leader, you will coach Bear Builders, manage merchandising, and lead a high-performing team to meet targets while upholding brand standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric business, preferably in specialty retail.
• High school diploma.
• Basic understanding in the use of store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).
• 2-4 years of store management experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in business/related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in determining associates’ daily assignments and directing work.
• Assist in hiring and promotion decisions, including feedback and recommendations.
• Lead and inspire the team during shifts, enforcing store policies and standards.
• Drive sales as the Floor Leader by coaching Bear Builders and enhancing the Guest experience.
• Ensure merchandising displays align with brand standards and maintain a cohesive store environment.
• Oversee inventory management processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Help build a high-performing team delivering an exceptional Guest experience.
