Job summary

YMCA is seeking an Assistant Teacher for afternoons in New Hope, PA. This part-time, hourly role runs Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, offering $15.50-$22.00 per hour.

Join a community-focused team and help nurture young minds through engaging activities and supportive supervision. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience with children, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass all required clearances.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and have 2+ years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
• High school diploma
• Associate/Bachelor degree or college credits in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
• Being patient and kind with our parents
• Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
• Adjusting curriculum to ensure that all children meet the learning objectives
• Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children

What is needed for this job
