Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Project Planner/Manager to develop, manage, and complete a job plan for assigned jobs under the guidance of the Site Superintendent and in partnership with the Project Manager.

The role requires reviewing plans, coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and clients, delivering the project plan, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence on national projects with relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and building codes.
• Experience with BIM360 or similar construction management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and complete a job plan for an assigned job.
• Review plans and specifications to understand job requirements.
• Procure tools, labor, and some materials.
• Interact with architects and owners to resolve job issues.
• Communicate progress to supervisory personnel and clients.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets specifications and schedules.
• Manage project progress, costs, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Contribute to the Project Management Plan with the Project Manager.
• Track and price extra work tickets, change requests, and back charges.
• Comply with safety policies and maintain professional conduct.
