Cavender’s in San Marcos, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Store Management Team. You will help lead daily store operations, coach associates, and drive sales while upholding Cavender’s culture and values.

Open and close shifts, manage customer issues, train staff, and ensure a clean, organized store that follows company policies. You will supervise labor, monitor metrics, and maintain a safe environment to deliver Best of the WEST customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail department.
• Ability to manage store shifts effectively.
• Proven ability to drive results, develop talent, excel in customer service and exercise sound decision making.
• Associate must be able to read English.
• Associate must be able to understand English.
• Associate must be able to stay alert and productive during work hours assigned.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s culture and drive mission, vision, and values.
• Maintain active role in personal selling, meeting or exceeding sales per hour goals.
• Train all other associate positions in the store and act as Manager on Duty.
• Open and close store as directed and supervise associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service.
• Address customer complaints and handle returns and exchanges.
• Assist in increasing sales, maintaining profit, and reducing controllable expenses using key metrics.
• Lead training of store associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Maintain a safe, secure store environment and report incidents promptly.
• Lead company initiatives with store associates.
