Job summary

Cavender's in Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Store Management Team. You will help lead daily operations, coach associates, and drive sales while upholding Cavender's culture and standards.

You will supervise open/close duties, handle customer issues, manage scheduling, and participate in loss prevention and safety initiatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail department.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender's Culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Be actively involved in personal selling and meet or exceed sales per hour goals.
• Train all store associates (Cashier, Sales Associate, Key) and act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Oversee day-to-day store operations, open/close as directed, address customer complaints, handle returns and exchanges, and resolve associate concerns.
• Increase sales, maintain profit, and reduce controllable expenses using key metrics.
• Lead training on sales techniques and product knowledge; enforce company expectations (ADS, UPTs).
• Maintain safety and security, ensure proper records, and report incidents to leadership promptly.
• Ensure policy compliance and participate in Loss Prevention; drive Best of the WEST customer service.
• Keep store clean, well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing; uphold professional appearance standards.
• Manage labor through scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll approvals; address punches and exceptions.
