Cavender's is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in San Angelo to support the Store Management Team and uphold Cavender's culture. You will assist customers, supervise the team, and help drive sales, labor, and customer experience metrics.

You will train associates, manage scheduling, and act as Manager on Duty, opening/closing the store and handling issues in coordination with the Store Manager. This role emphasizes safety, policy adherence, and delivering Best of the WEST service.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender's culture and drive Mission, Vision, and store initiatives.
• Maintain active role in personal selling and achieve sales per hour.
• Train all store positions (Cashier, Sales Associate, etc.).
• Act as Manager on Duty; manage daily store operations and supervision.
• Open and close store and address customer needs.
• Handle returns and associate assignments.
• Increase sales, maintain profit, and control expenses.
• Lead product knowledge training and coaching on sales techniques.
• Ensure safety and secure store environment; report incidents.
• Enforce company policies and procedures; participate in loss prevention.
• Lead and support team to deliver Best of the WEST customer service.
• Ensure store looks clean, organized and well-presented.
