Job summary

Cavender’s Assistant Store Manager role supports the Store Management Team by helping lead store operations, opening/closing, assisting customers, and supervising the team. The role stays actively involved in sales, coaches associates and drives performance to meet goals for sales, labor, and customer experience.

The position promotes a safe, organized store environment, trains staff on company policies, and leads initiatives to ensure Best of the WEST service.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail environment.
• Proven ability to drive results, develop talent and lead customer service.
• Ability to read, understand and apply basic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of the store and supervise associates to deliver Best of the WEST service and drive sales.
• Open and close store operations.
• Address customer needs and handle returns.
• Train associates and act as Manager on Duty.
• Assist in increasing sales, managing payroll and expenses.
