Job summary

Roses/Roses Express in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager with daily store operations.

You will supervise team members, handle opening and closing, safeguard assets, ensure safety, and keep the sales floor productive and inviting for customers. This full-time role offers growth opportunities within a dynamic retail environment and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform movements including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Open and close procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist the Store Manager in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards to include recovery.
• Direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Team Members when Store Manager is not on the premises.
• Assist Store Manager in the receipt and return of DSD merchandise and in freight flow management.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist the Store Manager in ordering and stocking all merchandise needs.
• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining stockroom organization.
• Assist the Store Manager in ensuring the sales floor is sales effective daily.
• Assist the Store Manager in implementing Store Operations directives.
