Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening/closing, merchandising, scheduling, and maintaining a safe, friendly shopping environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, loss prevention, and ensuring policy compliance while training and supervising store associates on a part-time, on-site basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to lead and develop store associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
