Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with opening and closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, safe, welcoming environment for customers and associates.

The role requires strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills and offers opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or related environment preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist with merchandising, stockroom to sales floor transfers, and seasonal areas maintenance.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays to ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
