Job summary

Dollar Tree is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise movement from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

You will participate in opening/closing procedures, uphold company policies, and support training of Store Associates in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks described.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support adherence to corporate directives and store policies.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, records, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized, and protect assets including cash.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
