Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with day-to-day activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, and supporting opening/closing procedures.

The candidate will participate in payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention, while maintaining a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized, protect assets.
• Ensure safety and policy compliance and supervise/train associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
