Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help with opening/closing, merchandise flow, and daily supervision alongside the Store Manager.

The ideal candidate will have High school diploma or equivalent, proven store management experience in retail, and strong communication skills to lead a high-energy team in a fast-paced environment. This role offers opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing a retail team in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and cash handling
• Maintain clean and organized store areas per company standards
• Protect and secure company assets including store cash
• Ensure safety policies are followed and train store associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and restocking
• Other duties as assigned
