Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all business processes at the assigned store and drive sales and efficiency. You will lead a team of ten Department Managers and Receivers, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires strong leadership, P&L awareness, and the ability to manage inventory and promotions while training and developing store teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, a degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success leading non-perishable and perishable department operations including P&L, safety, staffing, and merchandising.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape the store culture by modeling leadership behaviors aligned to Sprouts values.
• Develop the store leadership team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people (Department Managers and Receivers).
• Motivate and develop the management team, embracing Sprouts leadership behaviors.
• Maintain compliance with safety and food safety standards.
• Drive sales growth and store experience using Educate and Enrich standards.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking.
• Oversee invoicing from distribution centers and vendors.
• Lead Receivers and backroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Maintain displays on the sales floor compliant with programs and standards.
• Verify products are fresh, labeled, and priced accurately.
