Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all business processes in the store and drive sales with a strong focus on customer service. You will lead a small leadership team, manage both perishable and non-perishable departments, and ensure safety, labeling, and sanitation standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; business/retail degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Proven leadership in non-perishable and perishable operations with P&L and safety responsibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and solution-focused.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting and HR software.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Food Safety certification and ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape store culture by modeling Sprouts values.
• Develop the store leadership team to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people including Department Managers and Receivers.
• Motivate and develop management; embrace Sprouts leadership behaviors.
• Drive sales growth and ensure 8+ store condition standards.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, receiving and rotation of merchandise.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, sanitation and labeling standards.
• Communicate policies, initiatives and product knowledge across teams.
• Own P&L including labor, inventory and expenses to meet targets.
• Lead backroom organization, displays and price accuracy.
• Manage invoicing from distribution centers and vendors; resolve discrepancies.
