Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise day-to-day store operations, drive performance, manage staff schedules, and develop actionable plans while identifying training opportunities for the team.

Starting wage is $25.50 per hour with a 2nd-year wage increase to $26.50. This is a full-time role with an average 38 hours per week, focusing on payroll, loss prevention, inventory control and superior customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in retail or supermarket environment preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead others, delegate tasks and coach employees.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Models ALDI core values to create teamwork and community.
• Monitors competitive environment and suggests adjustments to maintain position.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
