Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train associates.

You will ensure a clean, safe, and high-energy environment while maintaining strong customer service and adherence to company policies. This role may be part-time and located in Maplewood, NJ.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or supermarket environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store operations communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, and handle payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect company assets.
• Ensure policy compliance and safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
