Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with merchandising, supervise associates, maintain store standards, and ensure safety and policy compliance while supporting the Store Manager.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; retail management experience is preferred and you must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
