Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure store areas meet company standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, handling directives, maintaining displays, and supporting payroll and loss prevention. The role emphasizes a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and handling payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
