Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with day-to-day activities, merchandise organization, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

The role emphasizes supervising and training associates, maintaining promotional displays, and upholding company policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain tidy, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
